Explorer won't install error a newer version is already installed

    Good day:
I am running window 7 ultimate e and my computer specs are listed on my profile. I originally had the search bar bing and ie working fine but I tried to configure the search bar for google and deleted ie and the search bar. I reinstalled ie11 from a stand alone loader and it said successfully installed. No reboot was requested and I could not find the ie symbol anywhere. I tried rebooting nothing changed. I tried to install again and it tells me that a newer version is already installed. I finally found the icon for ie and created a shortcut to my desktop but now when I open ie it tells me no add ons are running. When I go into manage add ons it shows that they are all enabled. I do not get acess to my home page I have to manually enter a web address in order to get off of the first screen currently running no add ons. So my question is a) how do I reinstall ie when it detects a newer version already installed. and two how do I get it ie to open up without the add on page but my default homepage.

don't know how to end thread

Hello thank you for your reply I was able to find the link within my settings on my c:/ drive so I sent a copy as a short cut on my desktop. I have all the new updates and everything installed as far as I know it says they are not needed when I try. I am ok with just using the shortcut I created thanks for the repy though
