    Site down only for me? Cannot access, I see other complaints. Resolve?


    Apologies in advance if this belongs elsewhere. I have reading some forums and came across a site called imgur.com which DNS could not resolve. A little investigation suggested the site is running (downforeveryoneorjustme.com) but I could not connect. Then I learned that this site has many complaints that people could not access it. It looks like a registered domain (ICANN) and google finds a lot of content for it, but I cannot access due to DNS. What steps should I take to mitigate this problem?

    The site works for me. Try running these steps to flush your dns. Flush DNS - What's My DNS?

    Hi soho1,

    The site works for me too!
    Could it be something in your Firewall blocking it?
    Could it be a filter/setting in your Browser blocking it?
    It could also be your ISP blocking it for some reason!
    Does it work in another Browser?

    Hello Soho,

    In addition, you might also try using a different DNS server to see if your current one (ex: ISP) may be the issue. You should flush the DNS after changing to apply.

    Try OpenDNS. They will resolve an IP even if it's offline at the DNS level.
