Cookie banners
As you have probably noticed, there is a new "online privacy" or rather "data protection" legislation in effect in the EU since the end of May. As a result, I've had to delete lots of emails from any website I ever left my email address on regarding their "new privacy policy". What's more irritating, every web site now informs me that they are using cookies (duh!) and are of course in compliance with the law so I have to agree. Before this law there were cookie banners but they were small and I could simply ignore them. Now they take up to half of the screen and I can't read anything before I click "yes".
Does anyone know of a way to stop these idiotic banners? Googling does not help, unfortunately, it gives me lots of resources about how to put up such a banner and how to illicit consent.
Now, I *know* websites use cookies (one has to be an idiot not to). I also *know* a perfect way to deal with them which makes all this legislation moot - my FF simply erases all cookies once I close it.
So, rant over, but please, does anyone know how to get rid of those banners?
