Best Theme in Personalization For Vision Issues

Since I primarily use Mozailla SeaMonkey for browsing I created this post:

http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewto...f=40&t=3040403

I changed my Theme to "High Contrast White" and it resolved the "pale gray on darker gray" toolbar problem described in my post.

Now that I've used the new theme for a while I see that it has introduced a new random phenomenon.

When I run a Google search, the box where I am to enter the search terms is no longer visible. All I see is a blinking cursor. Yesterday I placed an eBay order and could not see the option to use PayPal; I clicked on a blank box and the process completed properly.

I understand that Google Chrome has captured the largest share of the browser market. I find their interface frustratingly different. I can see that some might applaud the 'clean look' which is so different from the 'clutter' of the SeaMonkey example. I also object to being 'encouraged' to 'sign in' just to use a browser. Is it true that Google uses Chrome to gather information about my web use? Would it get even worse if I signed in?

Note that I seem to have 'less control' over what I see on the screen than the Mozilla forum solution suggests. Here I see gray on gray. In the upper right corner there are some icons that I need a magnifying glass to discern.

Why does the "Insert an Image" icon open a dialog that asks for a URL? I uploaded 2 images to Imbur after wasting time discovering that Yahoo is once again mucking around with the Flickr sign in process. When I previewed my post, there were blank lines where I'd invoked the "Insert an Image" icon and provided the Imgur image URL. Then I remembered the "Additional Options" below and uploaded two snips and placed them where I wanted them.

thanks,
baumgrenze
