    a pop3 problem with Dreammail

Right now I am using my mobile hot spot on my cell phone to connect my laptop to the internet. A junction box for Frontier Commutations got mowed down by a DUI so no primary internet or house phone.

Anyways I am getting a pop3 service connection error message, (see attachment). I can't connect to any of my 3 Email box's via Dream mail. I can get into all 3 Email accounts via FireFox with no problems. I also tried Thunderbird Email client, that works just fine. Dream mail was working on my mobile wifi hotspot until yesterday. I have completely whipped Dream mail and all of it's data files from the hard drive and reinstalled Dream Mail new and resetup the 3 email box's and I still get the same error message. I have tried everything that I know and no luck.

Can not connect to pop3.live.com. Please check POP3 Server setting (eg: Server address and SSL). Some servers does not need to SSL security transmission, if you check the SSL, may cause this problem.

Ping the pop 3 that will give you the IP enter that instead of the name see if it's a DNS error

    a pop3 problem with Dreammail

It has been a long, long time since I had to ping a server. I know how to do the ping but I don't remember how to find the IP address to ping. Dreammail states that it doesn't get a response from ether Gmail or MSN and times out. I can get into Gmail and MSN email box's via Firefox without any problems. Thunderbird Email client works great and reads both Gmail and MSN just find.

Primary internet connection is backup and working 100%

Ping pop3 reply from Google mail via Mobile Hot Spot: no response from pop3 time out.

Ping pop3 reply from Google mail via primary internet connection
pinging mail.netgear.com [209.249.181.6 with 32 bytes of data:
    request time out.
    request time out.
    request time out.

    Ping statistics for 209.249.181.6:
    Packets sent = 4, Receive = 0, lost = 4 <100% loss>.

DreamMail is 100% working on Gmail and MSN accounts now on the primary internet link.

Yes DreamMail has always worked just fine on the primary internet ISP. In the past when I used the hotspot DreamMail worked just fine. And the 1st few times this time when I used the hotspot DreamMail worked just fine. Then 1 day last week, BAM DreamMail stopped logging into the mail servers. Now to reset the password for DreamMail to work with Gmail. I have to go into a sub menu of Gmail setup, dump the old 16 digit number that Gmail generates and make a new one, then past it into the password box in DreamMail. MSN is a lot easer to change the password.

Townsbg has just replied with: Did it work before switching over to the hotspot? If so then the port might be blocked by the carrier.
