Recommended IE version for windows 7?

I currently trying to use IE11 and can't get spellcheck to work among other things. My computer is old and the memory not so big. Should i try to use an older version of IE and if so any version work better than others?

edit- or how do I delete IE11 totally, i tried to uninstall/disable it and it keeps on working

Chrome is one of the worst browsers, securitywise, out there simply because it is made by Google.

IE11 is the only IE browser that should ever be used. Earlier versions are no longer supported by MS (IE 11 is only somewhat supported and MS is trying to come out with a replacement to replace IE and Edge). You cannot delete IE since it is partially integrated with Windows.

I personally prefer IE11 but, if you want to try another browser, just don't use IE11 and use something like Firefox or one of its derivatives or one of the Chromium based browsers (just not Chrome itself).

Internet Explorer version 11 is the best, and most recent, version to use.

However, if you want to remove or disable this feature, then you can do so by Turn Windows Feature On or Off | Seven Forums, and then reboot the computer.

You guys can't back that up with any facts...
In my opinion...Notice, unlike you guys, I said MY OPINION..
Chrome is best security wise and for functionality...
IE 11 is slow, clunky and a piece of junk at this time...

You can express your opinion but don't try to state is as fact..

IE is absolute junk, it is end of life and doesn't support lots of modern web standards, Firefox or Chrome are far better choices.

Version 11 is better than version 9. That is all I said/meant.
IE IS more clunky than Firefox or Chrome. That way I'd agree with you - Why do you think Microsoft stopped developing IE and moved onto Edge?

    Thank you z3...
Look, there are some people here that are so resistant to change they are still using Outlook Express..
People can use and do what they want but they shouldn't state their opinions as fact when they are just an opinion..

I'm not some new kid on the block, I have been doing this since the days of DOS and almost all the change I have seen has been mostly for the better.... I remember when Bluwave mail reader was the all the rage but I moved on to better things..

I fixed it. All of the associations have to be turned off.

Chrome is Chromium based but is owned by Google and Google is notorious for harvesting, misusing, and selling user data. I trust anything Google as far as I can spit upwind in a Class 5 hurricane. There are plenty of other Chromium based browsers that are just as functional, if not more so, than Chrome. It has nothing to do with resistance to change (I embrace change when it actually benefits me, which it doesn't always do).
