    Internet Explorer KIOSK mode

    Hi,

As you know, IE can be used in kiosk mode.
However, mine is partially broken, in such way, that .mht files are not properly displayed when another program is using kiosk mode.

So, now I need to find out which bad update destroyed the proper mht kiosk display, since it does not happen on a fresh w7u64sp1 VM.

Anybody knows which msft update is the culprit?

    Many thanks!

PS: not an update issue, but perms
    :)

I don't know the answer to your question so I'm responding more or less to bump it to get more attention.

I also don't know what the other program is.

With the PS above I tried to indicate that it was a permissions issue.
The other program was accounting pro using ie in kiosk mode to display an mht file.
I broke the problem down since the title of the original thread was not focused on the individual problems involved.

The link you sent has great info.
    Thank you for your help!
    Much appreciated :)

While the link you provided has a lot of useful info, it was not what fixed the problem, but it did trigger a few thoughts, thank you.

The resetting of IE links and permissions did fix it by way of tweaking windows repair.
