    Hello retroeguy,

If you signed in to Google Chrome in W7 and sign in to Chrome in W10 using the same Google account, your settings and bookmarks will automatically sync.

Otherwise, you could use the method in the tutorial below to export and import your Google Chrome bookmarks with an HTML file.

what does everything refer to ? complete hdd or your complete browser details (cookies, history, bookmarks etc.) ?

If its browser settings you can use browser backup software to backup from our old hd & restore them on ur new hd. I use Heckasoft regularly for my browser backups, I don't trust leaving my data online openly, so I don't use sync-in feature on any of my browsers.

I never had issue with the software, neither backingup nor while restoring

You could upgrade from W7 to W10 without loosing anything other than anything reported as incompatible before saying OK to install.
