How to receive text message in Outlook 2007

I finally was successful in sending a message from Outlook 2007 to a cell phone (SMS). But, I am not receiving replies in Outlook. I have no cell phone. Haven't been able to get directions from Google search. Thanks.

I'm not sure if that's possible to do so without a phone number. I've never tried SMS from Outlook.

This isn't possible directly. Sending a text message with email does not include the senders email address. The text message contains in the From field only a random cell number generated by the cell provider which cannot be replied to. Essentially the receiver of the text message has no way of knowing who sent the message. It is possible to send an email with a text message if the sender knows your email address.

There are services that can help with this but I have not used them and don't know how they work.

Edit: Also be aware that text messages are limited to 160 characters.

    Thank you for both replies.
I don't see a place for check mark on this page. Maybe after sending.
