Firefox 74 - Hardware Acceleration/Content Process Limit Question?

After a bit of advice from the experts please. I have just switched from IE11 to Firefox 74 on my Acer Aspire desktop with Win7. I saw an article to speed up Firefox and did a few steps from their suggestions -

9 Simple Tweaks to Speed Up Firefox Immediately

I'm confused about one aspect of step 1 in the article about Hardware acceleration, see image below.

It says if your pc has a dedicated GPU and more than 8GB of RAM, then you should raise the Content Process Limit above 4. It also says that 4 is the Firefox browser's default. My pc doesn't have a dedicated GPU and it only has 3GB of RAM.

When I looked at the settings on myFirefox(about;preferences>General>Performance) the default Content Process Limit is actually 8, and not 4 as stated in the article. My question is - do I leave the C P L set at 8 as the default in Firefox, or lower to 4 as suggested in the online article?

Also, looking at my pc's spec in the top image (in post above) - should I really be leaving the performance settings on 'Use Recommended Performance Settings' and not using Hardware Acceleration at all?
