Now how do I import the several hundred log-in/passwords into FF portable without going thru a time consuming cattiwampus process? Does installing/using FF Portable give you a clue to what's wrong with my orig installed FF? Best Regards. Klxdrt
It sounds like perhaps the pref.js file is messed up in your FF install. Try refreshing your FF install following this guide. How to Reset Mozilla Firefox | Tom's Guide
The options are slightly different now, but it's pretty much the same.

As I don't run Windows 10, I'm not on that forum. To me, Windows 10 is a major source of grief probably from forced updates that can and will cause all kinds of problems.
