Help! Permission error when trying to print PDF from Chromium

I am running Chromium Version 84.0.4147.89 (Official Build) (64-bit) on my Windows 7 machine. (Please do not suggest upgrading the OS - that will (hopefully) never happen.)

I went to a webpage, saw something interesting, and wanted to print the page. My default printer is Adobe PDF and it usually works without issue. I clicked on the three dots in the upper right corner of the window, Selected Print, saw a correct preview, then clicked Save. A window popped up so I could pick to where the file should be saved, I selected c:\Users\<username>\Desktop, and clicked Save.

I was then shown a window that said: <proper path> You don't have permission to modify files in this network location. Contact the administrator per permission to make these changes.

Why on earth don't I have permission? Also, this is a local drive, not a network location! Please suggest some things for me to do to resolve this problem. Thanks.

did this machine come with W7, system specs imply it didn't.....
if it did not, where did you get your product key from, this could be the reason why you do not have permissions to do this, also see same problem in a previous thread
please run this tool copy/paste the output

I built my machine and installed a fully licensed copy of W7 Pro. I have no reason to believe that the product key is other than good.

"...installed a fully licensed copy of W7 Pro..." Where did this copy and product key come from? We are asking, not to pin you down, rather, to pin down the source, to determine exactly what the source sent you.

I believe that I had some type of MS license and that I got the OS directly from them.

Since posting, I tried tweaking file security. Specifically, I gave all Users on my system Full Control on both C:\Users (the symbolic link) and D:\Users (the actual files). Neither helped.
