    Hi Sundra and welcome

Can you give us an idea of how the accounts are set up? usually when something like this happens the sending account server name or password is incorrect.

    Does any mail go out?

I use windows live mail everyday works great, so I don't understand were the problems are. If I had to guess its in your configuration, not the program itself. So with that said tell us a little about whats going on. Who is your email provider, are you only having problems sending, what version of windows are you using?

For Sapo did you look on this page?

Ajuda SAPO - Configuração do Mail POP3 (Outlook/Eudora)

My thought is that you haven't configured your email for:

Passo 11: Activar a opção "O meu servidor requer autenticação/My server requires authentication".
Clicar em "Aplicar/Apply" e de seguida em Ok.
