I had to revert back to IE 8 due a BCC coding problem with one site I frequent. The latest Opera release is the definite alternate to FireFox. One dedecated FF user I know dumped FF 5 and has now been running IE 9 and Opera 11 as well. He stated FF was going into the basket after his disappointment with the latest releases.

Waterfox is an optimized form of FireFox with a 64bit version available for Windows. Waterfox | 64-Bit Firefox

Lately however I've been hearing some complaints about FF 5 now seeing a 6 beta available. Still with Opera 11 but may be able to move back upto IE 9 since one site was just updated!

It's a variation of FireFox seen there! One added here recently is almost a cross between FF and Opera called IceWeasel for Windows. Be giving Waterfox as a look as well however.

Maxthon 3. Found it last week, and now been using it everyday. Very smooth, and feature packed out of the box. You can customize it with themes, and it is very user friendly. I have mine looking like Chrome because I like the minimalistic look. Download - 3.0 Browser - Maxthon International

Been using Firefox Nightly 64 bit for several weeks. Seems faster to me than the 32 bit Firefox 5 or 6. Didn't know about the Waterfox. The only problem I have had with Nightly is that it did not like the 32 bit version installed on my computer. Kept loading and after a minute or so Stopped Responding. Uninstalled the 32 bit version and have had no problems (so far). So far there are no updates for any of my extensions, all disabled by Nightly.

it would run under another profile with no problem - you can also have different exts for each version.

I have FF6/7/Waterfox running in different profiles

Where do you set up different profiles? Don't think that I have ever done that. So far with today's update, Nightly is playing nice with FF6.

I used to use Firefox yet since that started playing up a lot. I changed to Google Chrome.
