I put this up in here because I thought someone might be able to help me, but instead it got deleted, so I am going to post it again because I really need help...

Okay, here is the deal. I was just surfing the web and I got a pop up saying "taskeng.exe is trying to access the internet" I have seen this program before so I hit allow. Immediately after that my IE9 stopped working (though IE9 - 64b works) My firefox works, and I can no longer stream media to my Xbox 360. I have been looking around all night and i have tried every suggestion in this thread to no avail... can anyone for the love of god help me?!?!

Hey there, I have the same problem as you guys had. I go to be honest, I have used a software which had a .exe "RegisterLSP". I selected it and, the internet stoped working. I even tried tried LSP fixer but the problem still continues. I had to uninstall the software due to this stupid thing. I checked various sites even this, but can't get the solution. Hopefully someone or the other could help me.

    Thank you,

This is an old thread with 45+ posts. Please restate your problem, your software, and what you did to create the problem. Can you provide a link to the exact web page from which you obtained "Registerlsp.exe"?

This means you have recently installed an add-on which makes it crash. You can try a system restore. That will do the trick !

Welcome to Seven Forums Windex. Did you run it from an advanced command prompt?

Start> In search box type cmd> Right click on cmd.exe in results above and choose Run as administrator

    Double check the spelling.
