Do you need version 2 specifically? Version 3 was released recently and that works ok.

As swarfega said, I'd upgrade to 3 although version 2 works fine on 7-64...

I've been using it for months...
still using ver 2.0.0.23 instead of the new ver 3, due to add-ons haven't been all updated for 3.

I can receive mail in Tbird on Win7 but cannot send. I get this message:
“Sending of message failed. The message could not be sent because connecting to SMTP server mail.htcnet.org failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections. Please verify that your SMTP server setting is correct . . . .”

The exact same server settings work fine with XP. I've posted the same question on the Mozilla forums but no reply so far. Another user there is having this problem using Tbird 3, so it is not just a ver 2 issue.

    Any ideas out there??

Hmmmm. My signature did not appear with my previous post and it contains my sys info. Anyway, it is Win7 Home Premium 64 bit and I'm trying to run Tbird 2.0.0.24

    Sorry for the extra post.

Edit: Well, it included it this time and went back and added it above too. Oh well.
