    This 3.6 beta 5 sucks.

For me, buggy as hell. gif corruption, closing out of it doesn't release it. As soon as I close out of it, still running in the background and cpu goes nuts until you manually kill it in task manager. Perpetually reproducible. I couldn't take it anymore. Uninstalled, back to 3.5.6
No, 3.6Beta5 does not "suck"; it is much more likely that you need to create a new Firefox profile, and/or run in Safe Mode to determine if one of more of your installed extensions and/or themes is/are the proximate cause of the problems you have encountered.

Profile Manager - MozillaZine Knowledge Base

Safe Mode - MozillaZine Knowledge Base

Experience for several years has clearly shown that most problems imputed to be the fault of Firefox and Thunderbird are, rather, matters more properly assigned to the specific installation, and, thus, relatively easily corrected.

Were Beta5 to be as bad as you seem to feel it is, there would be vastly greater numbers of complaints being posted on MozillaZine than are actually being posted there.

Just release version 3.7 and get it over with =).

I want my browsing to be GPU accelerated.

Definitely switching over to Firefox for 3.7.

    Yup, Opera rocks... RIP Mozilla...

Just wait til' Firefox extensions cost money, just like those for IE already can... then they'll be a shift or two towards Chrome or Opera, for sure...

I want version 4 with the new theme. None of this 3.6/3.7 nonsense.

Version 3.7 is probably going to be the biggest release in Firefox history.

Hmmmmm, whenever I try Minefield for grins the only difference I see is that the little pop down descriptions on TV Guide site don't work. It's no faster or slower than 3.6 Beta 2 or 5. Only thing for gadget freaks it has jump list. But I don't use that anyway.

One thing I did find out, if you install a nightly or beta and a bunch of your AddOns stop working for no apparent reason, and you are using GradientICool Blue theme, try just restoring that theme with FEBE(if you backed it up with FEBE) or install the latest GradientICool Blue alpha 1.1.1

Miraculously all my broken AddOns started working.

Systems with pre-D3D10 cards will not see any improvements whatsoever.

I would like to work with Opera but the problem is it doesn't have a lot of great add-ons when compared with Firefox. Extensions like adblock plus and no-script, both of which are instrumental to privacy and filtering out today's ever annoying junk, are non-existent for Opera.

I installed it yesterday and it's been running like a charm. I haven't had a single issue with this beta. I can't wait until 3.7 comes out though.

Also unavailable with IE so you have to wonder how bad you need 'em...
