Doesn't FF prefetch pages by default?

That can waste a TON of bandwidth if you don't have it to spare. (And use up memory)

Look for and turn that option off if it's enabled.

Disable the Firefox Prefetch Setting

That's a lot. 200MBs
I guess he didn't spot the picture, the OP does actually say 200+ k not 200,000k.

Just being pedantic here

Merry Christmas.

And it happens with the same game on Facebook,

Memory leak | Facebook

I don't do the Failbook thing but my wife does, and have seen firsthand how some of the games (Diner dash for one) on there can take Firefox (and IE8 as well) from a normal ram usage to over 500 MB in a matter of seconds; and bringing the whole computer to a crawl with it. Even better is if you read all the posts in that link you will see that it happens across all browsers and OS'es (Windows, Linux and OSX).

Basically comes down to the app writers for Failspace and Myface to clean up their acts, and write code that actually works properly.

It works properly, just it decides under it own will to take a massive chunk of RAM with it.

Using less than 68K when I initiate the Browser. With eight (8) tabs opened on major newspaper sites, Mem usage is around 191K.

Using Firefox 3.5.6 with four (4) add-ons.
1) Block Site 0.7.1
2) Easy Youtube downloader 2.1
3) External App buttons 0.8.0.10
4) Flagfox 3.3.19

How many add-ons and what Firefox version version are you using?

Also using two monitors but with two video cards. One at 1920X1200 (Main) the other 1440X900. How many video cards you have installed?

Other than the Video card and MoBo, we both have pretty much the same hardware.

Sorry don't have an answer for your problem. Just hope the above info helps somewhat.
