For some reason i only have 1 tab open and it is taking 216+k open

its slowly goes up by it self and it slowly goes down,....

I have fast dial but ive always have had it. never really gave me a problem i recently added 2 monitors i dont think that should be a problem.

I know how you can fix this... Uninstall FF and install IE8..
Sorry I couldn't resist as FF love to jump in and tell us how great it is and we should install.

    Sorry sotorious

Using less than 68K when I initiate the Browser. With eight (8) tabs opened on major newspaper sites, Mem usage is around 191K.

    Using Firefox 3.5.6 with four (4) add-ons.
    1) Block Site 0.7.1
    2) Easy Youtube downloader 2.1
    3) External App buttons 0.8.0.10
    4) Flagfox 3.3.19

How many add-ons and what Firefox version version are you using?
just using the fast dial w/ 17 book marks on the front

Also using two monitors but with two video cards. One at 1920X1200 (Main) the other 1440X900. How many video cards you have installed?
    both at 1680x1050 1 video card gtx260

Other than the Video card and MoBo, we both have pretty much the same hardware.

Sorry don't have an answer for your problem. Just hope the above info helps somewhat.
Its pretty much ok now, i guess maybe it was a website 2 i went earlier that day must have been doing something.

FF sucks both my cpu, rams and freezes my pc, not to mention some other flash related problems, it worked just fine till v3.0.0.14 but after that it kinda showed me the evil side!!

I'm currently using Opera 10.10 and I love it..

I hate to drop the bomb on firefox, but in terms of memory it always has been a resource hog. I'm a web developer and I experience it daily. Open firefox, browse to a couple of pages, memory usage goes off the charts, sometimes beyond 300Mb. I used to have an IBM lappy that had 512Mb ram with Windows XP, firefox would eventually fill up all the memory, forcing everything else into the page file, which made the system practically useless, it took tens of seconds to switch between windows.
To sum it up, Firefox is just like that. Accept that.
