More to the point, it sounds as though his message store folder is not in the default location (i.e., he has moved it elsewhere) and since there is no registry info to support such a move, the program cannot find anything he moves.

Just an educated guess, but Windows Mail is not supported in Windows 7, so its use may well encounter problems, although I've been using Windows Mail in Windows 7 since the first beta without problems.

    Good luck.

I only copied the windows mail directory.

Messages where imported into "blank" winmail.

I tried with playing with my antivirus prog and It got worse; instead of emptiing the mail body it just replaces it by another mail content :|

Turning off email protection didn't change a thing eather still buggy :|

In message #5 you write you just copied the mail folder from Vista over to W7 - now, what is it?

Only think i moved is the program files directory for windows mail from vista to win7. For that i had to rename original windows mail directory on win7.

I just placed the original dir back and copied only the msoe.dll to the windows mail folder; which means i am using the hidden winmail.exe from win7 now; imported the messages and now we'll see what happends after couple of days

I ll keep you all posted.
