    lost emails

I don't know where this question belongs but...

I have seamonkey on an xp computer that connects to the Internet via a hardwired dsl modem. I use the mail component of seamonkey as my default email client. It is an earlier version of Thunderbird.

I have Thunderbird 3 on my Windows 7 computer which connects to the Internet via a wireless connection to the hardwired dsl modem.

I can send and get email from both stations. But when I send myself a message from the XP computer to the Win7 computer, it gets lost.

I can send myself a message from the XP computer to the same XP computer simply by sending it and then closing the email client. Later it gets downloaded from the pop server. Or I can send it to another email address that is aliased to my personal email address.

But either way when I send a message to the Win 7 computer, it seems to send correctly but even if I never open the email client on the XP computer again but go straight to the Win 7 computer, the mail never arrives.

Any ideas what is going wrong here? Anyone? What am I missing?

Check you settings tools safety options....safe senders (add to list) blocked senders (make sure not on the list. Check setting in option tab. In case I missed something check all the setting in safety.

Thank you. I'll try that...but I am not sure why WLM should affect Thunderbird 3?

    Can you explain?

You know that is not a bad idea, set up the account in wlm, and see if the same issue happens, then you can isolate the issue is with TB and not w7.

As I outlined in the original post, I am using Thunderbird 3 on the Windows 7 machine and Seamonkey on the XP machine.

No, you said what email client you are using, I am asking who is the email provider, ie gmail yahoo etc, catch up airborne. Do you want to do some airborne push ups, or like they say, "beat your boots", lol?
