    WIN7 IE8 remembering last folder opened.


    I upload photos to a web site that I use for my business. When I do this on my "XP home" machine using IE 8 or Firefox both browsers remember the last folder for me. When I do this on my "WIN7 home 64bit" machine using IE 8 it doesn't (Firefox does) and I have to navigate back to the folder each time.

    Does anyone know why, or if I can make IE 8 do this for me om my win 7 machine?

    P.S. It seems as though all the settings on IE are the same.

    both browsers remember the last folder for me.
    Which last folder? The source folder on your computer, or the destination folder on the website?

    It's the source folder on my computer that's opened by the website when the browser requests the upload.

    IE and Firefox on my XP machine do it automatically as does Firefox on the WIN 7 machine, the only issue is with win 7/ IE.

    Now of course I can just use Firefox, but I would be nice to have the option to use IE.

    I think this is Win7 issue - where IE8 is just honoring the default locations set up in Win7.

    I would play around with this: Library - Set Save Folder - to see if it points you in the right direction. Keep us posted.
