    Mail Associations

I use gmail, but the primary address I use in Gmail is my old charter account. My problem is, Gmail doesn't seem to be associated with either Windows 7 of Craig's List. When I try to reply to a seller on Craig's List I get an error message saying there is now mail server associated with it. I found an Association page but I have no idea how to create an association. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you click on an email link on a web page, Win 7 will open the email
program that has been assigned to be the default program for "mailto:" links.

This is normally Windows Mail on a Vista computer, but Win 7 doesn't come with an email program. If you install a program like Windows Live Mail, or Thunderbird you can access your Gmail account via POP3 or IMAP. And clicking on a link will open that program.

If you use Gmail's webmail, I don't know of a way to make that the default for sending email. Gmail would have to provide a method to do that.

    Gmail Notifier

I found the answer by downloading a little program called Gmail Notifier. It doesn't say it works with windows 7 but it seems to work just fine.
