A System Restore can reverse some problems caused by drivers/programs, that uninstalling them doesn't. No uninstaller catches 100% of everything that a software package may touch, particularly in the registry.

If it proves out that the chipset drivers caused this problem, before reinstalling them, I would use some kind of proactive precaution, such as using Try & Decide...if you have True Image 2010. There may be similar programs available, but I'm not sure.

Thanks. Then I guess I will see about doing a System Restore. Hopefully, I can remember what else I changed. The main thing was a hotfix that won't get caught by Windows Updates. Any other software upgrades can be caught on the fly or with File Hippo Update Checker.

I think I got things to work. No crashes last night with Firefox, Opera or Chrome. Here is what I did:

-Removed Nvidia drivers using Add/Remove (Revo Uninstaller did not have them listed and CCleaner could not locate them even though they were listed).

-Rebooted

-Let Windows locate Nvidia drivers

-Uninstalled Google Chrome (problems were continuing even after Nvidia drivers were reinstalled)

-Rebooted

-Reinstalled Google Chrome

Chrome is working fine now, I was even able to use Hulu to watch a TV show, which I thought was a decent test of its capacity.
