Right now i use Firefox, but im getting sick of Firefox

So i was thinking of going back to IE8

What so bad about it? What makes people use other browsers?

    Nothing.

One of the nicer surprises with Win7 is that they finally got IE right.

Like the way you can move from Favorites to History and get back to any place you've been by order visited, alphabetical site name, search, etc.

    It just works.

There's nothing wrong with Internet Explorer 8. Some people prefer Firefox because of it's custom ability, and some people are just influenced by what they hear. An internet browser is just what it is. If you can browse the web, and you have no issues with that particular product. That should be your deciding factor.

The same thing happened with Vista. Most of the bashing came from people that never even tried the product. Hearsay spreads just like a bad rumor in High School.

I used to have the problem of shutting down Firefox and then finding out it was still running in Task Manager, but I have not seen that issue with the more recent versions of Firefox. Upgrade if you have that problem.

Agreed, I myself use IE8 & FF i just use whatever i'm comfortable at the moment. Both are good, althougth IE haters will always say something about though they never noticed the improvment of the new IE.

The gripe I have with IE8 is when you have a bunch of tabs open the back icon (Blue Back Arrow) stops working (happens in Windows 7 or Windows XP). I have reported this to Microsoft over and over and they still have not fixed it. If you press the Backspace key it will go back. Ugh!

i like firefox because when i started using it ie was crap, chrome, and safari weren't around, and opera was a bit to lean at the time. i got used to having a certain set of plug ins available and have really got ff set up just the way i like it. if it weren't for that then i could use any browser, but ff works great for me so it's what i use.

I have been using Firefox for several years and I have not tried IE 8. The last IE I used to any extent was IE 6 on my work computer. IE 6 did not compare to Firefox at that time. I use Firefox for the easy customizing. When I installed Windows 7, I used IE8 long enough to download Firefox and then imported my profiles, addons, etc. I have heard good things about IE 8; but I am now very comfortable with Firefox.
