Firefox 3.7 Alpha 2 Download a Taste.

Mozilla is gearing up to make available the second Alpha build of the next generation of its open source browser. Firefox 3.7 Alpha 1 was released to early adopters, emphasis on early adopters, in the first half of February 2010, and this week the second Alpha development milestone will also be offered to testers. Essentially, Firefox 3.7 Alpha 2 is the Mozilla Developer Preview of Gecko 1.9.3 Alpha 2, which brings to the table a few new features which are bound to get users excited. Two of them, hardware acceleration and Out Of Process Plugins will be available in Firefox 3.7 Alpha 2 / Mozilla Developer Preview of Gecko 1.9.3 Alpha 2.

Thanks for the heads up. Anyone else notice that they already have 3.7a3pre in their nightly builds as well?

I do now, installed and updated.

I like the new home and refresh icons.

You know what I really want? A duplicate tab option.

3.5 to 3.5.5 were a disaster, but 3.6 seems to be the best yet. Think I'll stick with it for a while. I like the fact that there is no perceptible delay on startup.. on my machine anyway. takes about 2 seconds to get IE to load by comparison.

Found a bug on DA.com. No scroll bars available.

I like the integrated download status bar type thingy in the right bottom corner. Though the Download statusbar plugin is still superior.
