Opera: Microsoft's browser ballot has tripled our downl
-
This whole "Browser Ballot" is such a ridiculous idea. It's just another way to take business away from MS. Is the EU jumping on Apple's back for having Safari pre-installed on their machines? Who is flipping out on Google having their OS use Google Chrome as it's primary browser? Let's be honest here, if you don't know that you can download a browser outside of Internet Explorer, you shouldn't be using a computer.

But in the end what will people pick out? IE because they know it.
BTW i hate that opera shows all my tabs on the task bar, Its a reason i don't use IE often -_- biggest downer is that but everything else is fine, besides being rushed a bit. The whole reason tabs were made and popular was so you don't have a bunch of browser windows open back awhile? but its coming back all over. At least its what i feel though.

It's funny how a feature that one person hates can be loved by someone else - the multiple tab display on the taskbar peek was a feature that almost had me going back to IE , (it's OK I got over the urge )
Different strokes indeed

A true lol on that barman. Well it wouldn't be such an annoyance but I have my
preview set on extremely fast since I use it for some things, such as windows explorer because it makes looking for something easier at times or itunes. So I guess I like it, just not on my browser. Since I will move the mouse to something else but while I am moving it will blind me to death with all the previews for each tab

What Ive done is to compile and install privoxy on my shell account. Privoxy is not only a proxy but does a very good job at ad blocking.

Id switch to opera, but it lacks AdBlock.

You can also achieve a similar effect by directly editing and adding entries in the [exclude] section of:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Opera\Opera\urlfilter.ini
The in built ad-blocker 'block content' is pretty piss weak actually.
ie
[exclude]
