Yeah, so it must be some config or plugin or installed software doing it then.

SOme of the ODDEST "bugs" in the forums here have been caused by various AV packages :)

When Yahoo came out with the new page, I had to switch my home page. It never worked right until I got my new computer. It was only Yahoo. It required too much memory etc.

Well I implicitly suggested that you try running IE without any plugins and try disabling live site scanning in your AV software if you have any (or disable it entirely for the test).

You might also try putting apple.com into your "Trusted Sites" list.

It just loaded up instantly for me in both IE8 and Firefox 3.6. First time I had used IE8, btw.

It's Quicktime, not flash. Maybe Quicktime is your problem.

No, I just think that maybe Quicktime is using up a lot of resources, quite possibly the Quicktime plugin for IE. The only thing is I don't think Quicktime is activated unless you play a video on Apple's site.
