    error message in windows contacts

I imported my outlook express address book to windows contacts. I tried to send an e-mail from there and got a message to create an association in Default Programs conrol panel. I did this then I get an error message saying "an error occurred while attempting to invoke the default e-mail program. What do I do now?

    Hi,

    Welcome to 7 Forums.

    To resolve this,

    * Go to Control Panel | Default Programs and make sure OUTLOOK is default.

I'm new to this forum. I was not clear. I imported my outlook express address book to Windows Live Mail. i do not have outlook. I went to the Default program control and "tried" to create an association between Windows Contacts & Windows Live Mail; however, it did not work properly (evidently.) I've had Windows 7 just a few days on this new computer and I've been very confused. Thank you for any help you can give me.

I check this site to see if there were any responses to my last post from my iPhone and on the web page there was a "Suggested Fix" with a link to Registry Booster for a Free Windows Error Scan. That link does not appear on the web page when I connect to it from my desktop computer. What's going on?

Is there any way for me to make the Windows Contact recognize Windows Live Mail as the default e-mail program?

    Thanks for any help.
