Google Chrome latest build adds tab preview feature

Just upgraded to Google Chrome 5.0.356.0 dev build. And it has tab previews on taskbar. Just what I was waiting for. Now bring on download progress bar and Chrome will be THE perfect browser for Windows 7.

Just noticed this too and it wasn't announced in the dev release notes: Google Chrome Releases: Dev Channel Update

Chrome is fast. But that's about it. It even isn't the fastest browser.

It has an awful UI and it doesn't have any extras, but it is very stable and reliable.

    Opinion ^

[Opinion] Chrome has the least bloated UI out of all the browsers I've used. While it may not have everything all the other browsers have, its getting there. [/Opinion]

[Fact] Theme support, Extensions, Tab Preview. Oh and for the record, Chrome is still faster then all the other browsers (Safari, Firefox, Opera, IE) for me. [/Fact]

Where can I download this latest release? My ALPS touchpad back and forward buttons do not work on the latest Chrome I have downloaded. Thanks

I was a Firefox fan in the beginning, but I've increasingly found it bloated, both internally and in the UI. Chrome and Opera rain supreme nowadays, but more Chrome. Opera needs to get rid of their useless widget system in favor of extensions. Chrome is very lightweight, and very good at resource management (internal task manager and separate processes). The extensions are extremely easy to build as well, and can range from a simple search bar to a complex music player. In this day and age, all you really need is a lightweight browser with an Adblocker. Everything extra is per your preference. Unfortunately adblockers will never be included in the big browsers by default since too much is made from advertisements and there would be a ton of lawsuits.
