Have you tried running both on your machine to see what works best for you?

The speed factor for both are dependent on a lot of different variables. Every system is different.

    I guess FF is better.

I think that it would be wise to try both. Although, FF may be a tad faster, it may not be true on your machine. In addition, the different features may affect your decision on which to use. There is no problem having more than one browser, as many people use that approach.

Without a doubt, Firefox. On a Mac, it's the other way around. Personally, I use Chrome since it's lightweight and minimal and has extensions now.

Safari 4.0.5 is a really fast browser aswell, but the new Firefox 3.6.2 beats it.

As was said, intall both. At times I had 6 ot 7 browsers which I used for different purposes. I personally do not like FF - too much fuzz. But Safari is a nice little browser. Now I only have 3 browsers left but use IE most of the time. Opera is my next best choice and for certain things that neither IE nor Opera can do I use AOL.

If you're on Windows stick with Firefox. Windows version of Safari feels sluggish at times. However, if you're on Mac Safari is much faster than Firefox IMO... It will be interesting to see if IE 9 uses webkit (the same rendering as Safari)...

Try Opera! It's beautiful and powerful...
