So now you understand just how old an OS XP is

Technology has moved on massively since the days of XP (recommended spec 300MHz CPU 128MB Ram) and technology moves on - would you even consider using a PC of the spec that XP was built for? No, then why use the obsolete OS.

We have 3 Computers with Windows XP, 1 with Windows Vista and 2 with Windows 7. Windows XP is not all that old though. Only 10 years!!!! Windows 2000 is unsupported this year. Windows XP is unsupported in 2014. Compare Windows XP to Windows 2000. Windows 2000 is based on Windows 95. That's means Windows 2000 is old but window XP was the beginning and started the foundations of what we have now.

No, Windows 2000 is based on Windows NT and not the 9x kernel

Windows XP is based on Windows 2000.

XP is way past it's sell by date, when XP was released we had no USB2, SATA, PCI-e. In those days machines were not connected to the Internet 24/7 and the fastest Internet connection was 56k.

In computing terms it's ancient and should just be left to die quietly while the rest of us move an and embrace the power of our new systems without being held back with legacy support.

We still can get Windows XP. But I found XP was a good OS. It did support Bluetooth and USB 2.0 and broadband in SP2. I Don't like Vista but am liking Windows 7. Why whats wrong with people using XP an 10 year old OS. Does it's job done what is designed to do. Not always new means the best.

That's not correct. I ran Windows Media Player 12 flawlessly on XP-Pro SP3. I don't know where you got that info from, but it's not accurate.

It's too bad that support for XP is not going to be provided any longer. That's one helluva' operating system! Even now, it still is. I loved XP, and still do. But I am indeed running Windows 7 Ultimate now.

The point is, it is very old and needs to die. If MS keep giving it new stuff then people wont upgrade and new OS's and technology are handicapped by having to provide legacy support for an OS that was designed for a different era.

Sorry You are wrong. You must have hacked/Cracked it to make it work (Note I Don't support this!). I can't get it to work, freinds can't get it to work, and customers can't get it to work. I have installed it so many times and comes up "ERROR 13251252 Cannot Install WMP12 On This Version Of Windows. To Install You Require Windows Vista SP1 Or Later"

Sorry, but your dead wrong. WMP-12 is supported in XP-Pro SP3. You must have something wrong if your not able to install it, and run it.

And please don't accuse me of hacking, okay?
Did you get It of UTorrent or another Torrent site??

And there's two types of hacking!!!!

Good and Bad, Good hacking is adjusting code to make it work for personal use and bad hacking is trying to steal info or adjust code and give away or selling. and wasn't accusing you of hacking anyway. I say no more about this topic.
