windows live mail problem

    windows live mail problem


    Hi everyone,

    I am new to this forum as I just bought a computer with windows 7.

    I have just created my windows live mail account but !!!!!!

    My problem is that I can send emails ok but cannot receive any emails.

    Can any body please help me with any ideas as I am pretty new to computers?

    Hi,

    Yes, I receive a small window box called Logon.

    It asks me to provide user name and password but when I do the same box keeps coming up.

    at the logon add "@talktalk.co....." (whatever youre provider is called to the end of youre name)
    then click tools-accounts-click on youre talktalk,then properties-server tab,at the bottom of the windows tick "My server requires authentication" if its already ticked,untick and tick again,then apply,close youre mail and re open,hope it helps
