    Can't uninstall Firefox

I was wondering if someone could help me, as Mozilla is useless with getting back to people.

Firefox keeps giving me all sorts of problems, so I tried to uninstall it, but it keeps saying,
"Firefox is running, please shutdown". Well it is not running, either on screen or in the processes tab of task manager.

If I try to go into the control panel, it is not listed in the program list, but it is in the start menu.

I am going around in circles. If I go into C:>program files>Mozilla>uninstall, and click the helper.exe, it says it "is not a valid Win32 app"

I tried asking Mozilla, bullshitting them and saying I wanted to be able to uninstall so I could re-install their "wonderful" program again, without the bugs, but I think they smelt the crap, and know I'm lying, because they know their product actually stinks.

Either way they don't wanna help. Anyone got some other way of uninstalling programs, or, a way of making it appear in my uninstall program window, so I can try doing it from there.

I have had it with replacing this bunk browser over and over again, and I would like
ALLLLLLLLLLL traces gone from my system.

    thanks for any help

If the only problem is that it is running, try making IE the default. Then boot the computer. Type default in search to change default browser. Then go to services make sure it is not set to start with each boot. Look for it in msconfig, also.

Tried that. That is actually what started this goose-chase. When I went there, first, it told me that it was already uninstalled, and asked if I wanted to delete it from the program list, which I did, only to find out sons o'bitches lied.....lol. program is still there. i can still go in and out of Firefox, it still functions.

It has just been so frustrating with the browser I would prefer to just get rid of it. It is not that big of a deal as I can just change default, delete desktop icon and forget about it, but you know..........kinda like your friend stayin on your couch too long, you could just move him into the garage, but you'd rather he find his own place.

Go to the couch, tell your friend "Move it"

Then to back up your words, try this

Type msconfig in search. Make sure FF is not activated at start up.

Then make a system restore point, just in case.

Then download this: Revo Uninstaller Pro - Uninstall Software, Remove Programs, Solve uninstall problems

    The uninstall

Then tell your friend, nice having you around, but now dont let the door hit you on the way out.

OK you seem to be a nice guy. I will give you 2 answers tonight. Use this after uninstalls to clean up everything. Not just now, but always start with a system restore

    CCleaner - Home

To get rid of remnants etc.
