Download stop when i close firefox.

    Download stop when i close firefox.


    I open Firefox, i find something for download,i start the downloading,BUT if i will close the firefox the downloading also stop.
    Previously i start the downloading,i close firefox and the download continues.
    I dont know what happens.
    Are there any settings to adjust?

    See if instructing it to show the downloads window helps:

    Normally, when you close the last Firefix window, the download is stopped.

    Were you using a third-party add-on before?

    No.

    Maybe i was <<lucky>> and firegox active strange for my benefit.
    If is that normal,nevermind then.

    Is your download pausing until you start Firefox again, or it is canceled?

    Actually is corrupted.
    For example,i start downloadin pctools firewall,then i close firefox and the same time i get the message download completed.
    The pctools setup is there in my desktop but is damaged,the actual size is 44.5mb and i have a 5mb setup,i start again firefof,i check on downloads and pcttols shows completed.

    What version are you running? Try updating to 3.6.3, if you're not already.

    You may try a system restore to get to a point before the troubles. If that seems like overkill, uninstall Firefox completely using Revo Uninstaller, then download a fresh copy from Mozilla and install it.
