OK I tried the easy, but it did not work

Read and try this. I cannot suggest that you make any of the downloads suggested in the article, because I do not know if they contain virus etc

Thanks. I have done several of these in my attempt to solve these problems. I have used a registry cleaner (Registry Booster), checked for spyware, malware and viruses, tested memory (bought new and tested with it), constantly updated video drivers, have the latest service packs from Windows, and removed Norton Antivirus all to no avail. The only items left are the DEP and printer drivers and I believe that I had these problems before I installed the printer drivers.

I have just looked deeper into my event viewer and found quite a few errors. Take a look, perhaps it will shed some light on my issues.

Sorry I forgot the to answer the question, no, this has been going on since I installed Windows 7. I had no problems previously with Windows NT (yeah, I know but it worked flawlessly). Since I have purchased memory and a new video card to try an solve these issues.

It is a bad install, you may have to do clean install. If you want to know how, I will help with the information that you need. You have to save everything and reinstall the programs.
