    Ie 32bit?

Running IE 8. NOT SURE IF IT'S 32bIT OR 64bIT. Went to the help, about IE but it doesn't say 32 or 64. Running a 64 bit system. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hello Bonkers,

If it doesn't have 64-bit to the right of the "Version"# in the "About Internet Explorer", then it is the 32-bit Internet Explorer. :)

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

To clarify, here is what you see with both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of IE8.

Yea....looks like it's 32 bit. So I would think that since my system supports 64 bit, I should be using it right? Could you please send me a link for the correct 64 bit? Thank-you. B-72

By default, your system will use the 32-bit browser version. To locate the 64-bit version, click and then All Programs. Internet Explorer (64-bit) should be listed. Just click on it. Note that sites which require the use of Flash will not work correctly with the 64-bit browser. For those, you will still need to use the 32-bit one.

    Bonkers,

In addition, this may help clarify why 32-bit IE is used by default even though you have a 64-bit Windows 7. :)
