Hi and welcome to the forum .

I would suspect that this problem can be solved by turning Internet Explorer on as a Windows feature.

There is a guide on how to turn Windows features on and off at Turn Windows features on or off, once you get to the window displaying all the windows features look for Internet Explorer and ensure that its box is ticked then hit OK and restart.

Please post back with any results.

    IE8

If you are saying you now have no browser take a look at this site. It should be able to guide you through the step you need to take to get a browser.

Downloading a browser in E, without a browser, in 3 steps - Within Windows

Here is where you can download IE8 from!

Windows Internet Explorer 8: Download the latest Windows web browser

I hope I was able to answer your question!

I'm glad I could help in solving your problem. :)

As you are new to the forum I thought you might like to know how to mark threads as solved as well as the uses of some of the other buttons.

To the top right of this post you will see 3 icons. An orange (+), a set of scales and a red and white warning triangle.

The orange (+) or blue (-) denotes whether a user is on or offline (orange = on, blue = off).

The scales are used to give rep points; click this button if someone has helped you significantly or solved your queries (only give this to posts that you think really deserve it).

The red and white warning triangle is used to denote either an abusive post OR to mark a thread as solved (just put solved in the box that comes up and the admins or moderators will mark it solved).

I'll mark the thread solved this time for you.
