    firefox keeps closing


    I've tried using old versions but the result is the same
    "firefox has stopped responding"

    Hello Welcome to SF !!

    Follow this Tutorial and open the Firefox in Safe Mode and see whether it opens Safe Mode

    Hello !!

    Then it should be the add-ons that is causing the problem. Disable all the add-ons then opened Firefox and see whether it works. If it works then enable add-ons one by one and you'll find which one is causing it. Then you could uninstall that add-on.

    If you use "Flashgot" - v.1.2.1.21 - addon, deactivate it. Reactivate other ones and let us know the results.

    i don't actually use flashgot
    I found out what add-on was causing the problem
    It's the orbit downloader add-on which bugs me a lot 'coz now I can't use it and I really love that add-on

BSOD after closing firefox

I have encountered BSOD several time when closing or using firefox on a windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit . I have used the dm log collector to extract the log files needed . Please tell if more details are needed.
0x0000000a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL "Caused by driver" is empty. And another one recorded. 0x0000001e
For some reason or another when I close Firefox a thing pops up and it says The instruction at 0x65439789 referenced memory at 0x0000001c. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program any help in fixing this error would be helpful
Mozilla doesn't seem to have a clue what's causing the crashes. I'm running only one other app which is the newest Flash (from Adobe website). The faulting module is XUL.DLL. Attatched a couple of files from Event Viewer. The "after close" crash is sporatic (maybe once every two or three days)....
My apologies if this is posted in the wrong section. I'm having problems closing Firefox in Windows 7. It appears that the program is always still running in the background and uses large quantities of CPU usage. I always have to stop the program in Task Manager or reboot before it will open...
