I did a test to verify. I sent an email to myself, but did not sync. It did not download for at least 3 hours so I left my computer on with WLM open and went to bed. This morning it was downloaded. So I guess I need to do another test with WLM continuously running to see what the time actually is (somewhere between 3 and 12 hours).

Based on a couple of tests, it looks like ~3 hours. So the two workarounds would be either to not include any accounts in the sync or include them but close WLM before the 3 hours is up.
