    Reset bookmarks to Firefox defaults?


    I want to"Reset bookmarks to Firefox defaults.to look like a new install of firefox ? which method works ?

    What's the reason you want to do this? The method you posted works. This is also an alternative. When Uninstalling Firefox it will ask you if you want to delete you files and setting. Click yes and it will finish. Then you can reinstall fresh.

    If you save them they will reinstall you'd have to delete them. So you basically want as if you've installed for the 1st time ever?

    Metalmania31 sorry I meant save my bookmarks before I use one of thoses methods Restore the Default Settings in Firefox Without Uninstalling It - How-To Geek I basically want as if I installed for the 1st time ever?can you tell me which is easier ?

    You can simply go to bookmarks, organize bookmarks.
    From there, go to import and backup, and choose export HTML. This will save all your bookmarks in an HTML file that you can then restore by using the same method, but choose Import HTML.

    Lorgbob75 I can backup, and choose export HTML. This will save all your bookmarks in an HTML file works good When I restored by using the same method, and choose Import HTML.it made duplicates of my bookmark any ideas on a fix ?
