Windows Live Mail

I have Windows 7 Pro and have installed Windows Live Mail. I have set Mail up and do receive email.

The problem is with Importing and Exporting mail and the Address Book from Outlook Express. There is NO File --> Import option

The Help was of NO help in being able to fix my problem. I need some help with this issue.

Is there any better email software than Live Mail that work with Windows 7?

Have you tried microsoft office outlook? This program is very good, however you will have to pay for it:

Microsoft Outlook 2010 - Microsoft Office

If you want a free alternative, then why don't you try Thunderbird:

Thunderbird is an email client that is made by Mozzila, who have also made Firefox.

I highly recommend Thunderbird too if you are looking for third party free email client.

Yes I think that it is the best free email client however I think that Outlook performs to a higher standard, but this comes with a price tag. If you don't want to install Thunderbird, then you can find a portable verison here:

I really prefer Outlook Express over Outlook but that may be my only option at this time. I have Office 2003 available so I can install Outlook.

If you don't see the File menu, press the Alt key.....
MSFT is saving screen space by turning it off by default in several of their programs.

I don't believe that the Outlook Connector works for Outlook Express. I did, however, locate this tutorial at another site: Import contacts in Windows Live Mail.

I'm not sure about the contacts, but the link from Corrine looks good.

ALT-M will bring up the Menu dropdown and then click on "Show Menu Bar"

To import "Contacts" on the Menu Bar select Go-Contacts and when the Contacts window opens select File-Import.
