    IE7 Favorites List

My agency recently moved to IE7 and I have a problem with the Favorites list. At the end of the day I close all applications and log out, leaving the computer running. (SOP in our agency.) The next morning, I find the Favorites list has been re-alphabetized. Not a big deal, except that my job has required me to save lots of Favorites and I like to group the most-used near the top for my convenience.

Is there a way to turn off this feature??

    Thanks.

    Welcome

The favorites should not change position, mine do not. You may want to install the latestest IE8, which is what I have

In lieu of a better answer from another later on, you can rename. Just put a 1 in front of the one that has priority and 2 in front of the next and so on.

Option 2: Make another folder call it priority( or something), and put all the important favorites in that one. The order should not change.

    Thanks, Rich!

I can't go the IE8 route - our Systems folks haven't approved it for use on the network.

Of the other two options you suggest, I'll probably try the new folder first.

If possible, guys, I'd still like to know if there is a setting that simply needs to be switched in IE7 to keep this from happening on a daily basis??

    Thanks!

Thank you so much for the kind words and the rep. I truly hope that you find the answer that you seek.

I think it is some software that you have on your machine that causes the problem. What do you have that can do this? Any maintenance, etc?
