Nope, haven't played around with the new minefield at all yet, but here's a thread on it:

If you want to play with Firefox 4, go here:
    Firefox 4 Beta

Also, I'm playing with it right now. I gotta say, it's a big improvement over FF 3.6. The speed is better, and the javascript engine and D2D features aren't even finished yet. I did turn on hardware acceleration, and it rivaled Chrome in speed. The only problem is that it makes the GUI turn anti-aliased. I can't wait to see how those other improvements will affect it in the final version.

Nothing to test because it isn't supported in Firefox 3.6.6, and from having a look at the problems they have been having with it Firefox 4 don't see it being added to 3.6.6.

    thanks logicearth & stormy !

i have done some searching trying to find out if was supported or not.

but, doing some tests on peacekeeper i noticed something interesting,
running FF 3.6.6 WITH the Direct2D-modification gave a higher score than the standard-setting.

if Direct2D is not supported, why a higher score ?

does those 2 rendering-settings also speed up FF 3.6.6 even though Direct2D is not supported ?

i first tested FF 4 with standard-settings on Peacekeeper, then with Direct2D.

i then tested FF 3.6.6, but forgot to change the settings back to standard,
so i ran the first test WITH Direct2D-settings and the second with standard-settings and noticed a difference in score.

i´m using the same profile for both FF 3.6.6 & FF 4, so that´s why this happened.

Seeing as Firefox 3.6 does not use Direct2D at all. Having the Direct2D settings is meaningless.
