    Windows Won't load after reboot.

I was trying to load windows 7 professional onto a HP Pavillion dv6500 and every time I install it it goes fine, then once it's all installed one of two things will happen. If I do absolutely nothing to it, no changes to settings, no new programs or updates I can reset it turn it off etc and it will load fine. If I do any of the previously mentioned things though it will not load windows. I thought maybe it was black screening (after I read the why is windows loading black screen thread) but I don't think this is the case. I can't get it to boot in safe mode, I can't even get to the advanced boot options. The best I can do is get to the screen to choose my os. Can anyone shed some light on this super annoying problem?

Hello !! Welcome to SF !!

I think the best thing you could do is to do a Start up Repair to resolve boot issues. Startup Repair if that didn't work then try this article SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker if that also didn't care then i think it could be a bad install of Windows 7 follow this Repair Install

    Good Luck,

The startup repair fixed it! Thank you so so much for that recommend. I don't know what the problem was but the startup repair at least got me back into windows. Thanks so much!
