This one is straightforward now. ZoneAlarm is causing the problem. Please remove it with this tool: http://download.zonealarm.com/bin/fr...cpes_clean.exe

Replace it with MSE: http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials

Ahh, on the advice of Reventon, I had already replaced Avast with Microsoft Security. Would it be reasonable to suggest that there might have been a conflict between the two?

I removed ZoneAlarm using the cleaning tool, which I ran as Admin.

No crashes since the last reboot, about three hours ago. A new record. I think we may be closing in...

I'm going to run PassMark now and put the system to task; I'll report the results, along with any new dumps that may result.

Ran Passmark Burn-in test. Completed successfully. Ran Passmark Performance. Same result. Ran Passmark Soundcheck. Passed!

Still haven't had a BSoD. Any other suggestions, aside from crossing my fingers?

No suggestions at this point, I think that fixed it. If you really want to be sure then turn Driver Verifier back on, as that resulted in guaranteed BSODs if I recall correctly?

System was stable all night! Just resumed Windows without issue after running PassMark for over ten hours.

I'll turn on the verifier and see what happens.

I don't know how to thank you all, but will do my best to be an active member of the forums. Perhaps my knowledge might assist others someday.

I'll post back any abnormal behaviors, but here's hoping there won't be any issues.

What am I thinking? It's a computer. Issues are inevitable

Great, let's summarize then. It was ZoneAlarm causing the issue?

Interestingly, ZoneAlarm did not show in the dumps until the latest ones.

Thanks for the report, and we'll look forward to seeing you around the place.

Yeah, whoda thunk? I've been using ZA for quite awhile, and have always had it installed on this latest system.

With it gone, I haven't had a single issue - and Microsoft Security Essentials seems to work seamlessly with my system (as it should). Plus, it's free! Thanks for showing me the light!

Before the analysis, I would have bet money on it being a conflict with the audio drivers.
