WerFault.exe Application Error

Hey all,

First post. Hopefully I could get some help here as I obviously can't seem to get this on my own. And hopefully this is the correct forum to post this, if not moved it.

I am having a problem where I keep receiving the same error over and over. It started happening after I got infected by the AV Security Suite spyware. It has since been removed with PC-Tool's Spyware Doctor.

I try to many programs and I keep getting errors titled:

WerFault.exe, firefox.exe (for firefox), hpqgpc01.exe (don't know), rundll32.exe, [program name].exe, etc - Application Error

The prompt reads:

The instruction at 0x0000022 referenced memory at 0x00000022. The memory could not be written.

Click OK to terminate.

It also happens when I try to run some setups.

Another error simply reads:

Error
Access violation at address 00000022. Read of address 00000022.

I try to uninstall the program through Control Panel -> Programs and this pops-up

An error occurred while trying to uninstall [program]. It may have already been uninstalled.

Would you like to remove [program] from the Programs and Features list?

Click Yes, and nothing happens.

I redownload the pogram, open the setup, error.

I have already tried disable Windows Error Reporting (for WerFault.exe) through the services.msc and errors keep popping up.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You wouldnt by chance have a backup from before the problem started would you?

Failing that do you have a win 7 dvd to do a repair install?

No to both.

BTW this file hpqgpc01.exe is part of HP printer driver

Yeah. I figured it had to do with HP, but strange as I wasn't using the printer or anything associated with it when the error popped up.

I just experienced the same issue after getting a spyware infection. I ran Safe Mode and did a Recovery. Completely solved my problems.
