thanks for all the help so far. It has been very useful.

After I download and use the hotfix how will I be able to know if the problem is resolved? Will I need to do verifier again?

Nope, make sure to turn off driver verifier if you did turn it on before. Use your system normally and keep us up to date

Both of these dumps are Driver Verifier enabled dumps. One blames ccc.exe (Catalyst Control Center) and the other blames opera.exe. Though the driver for CCC is up to date, you might try uninstalling CCC and see if that helps.

I also see some obsolete drivers.

AsIO.sys Mon Apr 06 03:21:08 2009 - AsIO belongs to the software AsIO or ASUS Probe V by ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

AtiPcie.sys Tue May 05 11:00:22 2009 - ATI PCIE Driver for ATI PCIE chipset Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD

    GEARAspiWDM.sys Mon May 18 08:17:04 2009 - CD-ROM Class Filter Driver by Gear Softwarehttp://www.gearsoftware.com

Update these drivers from the manufacturers' websites.

I was able to uninstall CCC. I think I am supposed to reinstall it because it is my video card driver.

I was able to install the new download ATI-Catylist after uninstalling it and restarting my system.

Now when I try to load a screen saver or a game it says my video driver is not installed. But I installed the video card driver from the disk it came with as well as the online download driver. What can i do to fix this? It was working before and during the problems with the crashes.

There are a lot of download options for my specific ASUS Motherboard. How do I know which ones I need to download? There are over 50. The files include qualified vendor list(1), bios(17), BIOS-Utility(2), chipset(1), audio(2), VGA(3), LAN(1), utilities(27), others(2), manual(8)

I was able to install the Gear driver install

I also uninstalled opera. But Will I be able to reinstall opera or do i have to use a new browser?

-Download the driver ONLY (not the whole Catalyst Control Center program) from http://www.ati.com
-Uninstall all your ATI stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program
    -Install the downloaded driver
When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

For the Asus Probe, try to look in the Utility section and others to see if it is there

I'm sure you're getting tired of responding to this thread. So sorry about that.

I don't know what to look for on the site under utilities or others when carl says "AsIO.sys Mon Apr 06 03:21:08 2009 - AsIO belongs to the software AsIO or ASUS Probe V by ASUSTeK Computer Inc." What download am I supposed to be looking for?

I used drive sweeper to get rid of the old graphics and downloaded the driver only. After installing and rebooting it did not work. So I tried the whole process again but upon trying to install the driver I got a werfault.exe-application error saying "the exception breakpoint a preakpoint has been reached (0x80000003) occurred in the applocation at location 0xf804b496". I uninstaller it all one more time with drive sweeper and downloaded driver only again it crashed during installation and when i tried to install it again after startup it did not work.

I think I accidentally cleaned everything in drive sweeper. I dont know if this is bad but everything in drive sweeper are empty which are ATI-display, creative-sound, microsoft-mouse, nvidia-display, nvidia-physx, realtek-sound

The Asus Probe date from 2009 and personally I think It should be fine even though Carl is right to say it's out of date, but perhaps they haven't make the new one for it.
I'm so sorry if you accidentally cleaned everything. You can try to install them again. For the graphic card driver, you can try to install it in the safe mode (start computer-->F8-->safe mode). Also make sure that you have set your ATi graphic card to be primary in BIOS

I reformatted my system and partitioned my drive. then I downloaded the driver only and it works fine. It hasn't crashed yet so hopefully that issue is gone too.

thanks for the help. It is greatly appreciated.

after reformatting, partitioning, correct installation of video, and running of hotfix, I am still experiencing crashes.

Is there anything I can do other than give up or go to a computer technician?
If there is any further help you can offer it would be greatly appreciated. I attached the latest dumps.
