You will have to ask the hardware guys that question. I will be buying a new motherboard this fall and I'll ask them for their advice. I will caution you that if you are planning on using your current RAM sticks, make sure the motherboard you buy is compatible with the RAM.

That board looks good to me. Compatible with your current RAM and CPU, a major plus.

    current status:
i have dual boot windows xp and windows 7 (3 hard drives, one is separated into 2 partitions of 40gb, on each is one operating system). 2 days ago i installed vista and all of my software including all drivers, and system crashed a few times so i formatted this vista partition from xp and have decided to continue use my xp in peace before i buy new motherboard. then yesterday just in curiosity i AGAIN installed windows 7 but i did not install any update or any driver and windows works fine for 13 hours for now! only thing that i installed on win7 now is: winrar, mozilla (+flash player), microsoft security essentials, easybcd (software for boot options), winamp and msn. result is that windows are now stable, i will let them run until they crash... if they dont crash for 48 hours then i will install one driver at a time (first for gpu) and test computer when it crashes... also im so crippled without any of my usual programs (its probably noobish of me, but i didn't even install MS office, adobre reader, video codecs or any media player, just in case they could be responsible for my bsod's). please reply, i would really like to see what you think of this. thanks!

That is the way to troubleshoot when you suspect a third party driver or software is causing conflicts. If you create a restore point just before you install something, you can easily revert back if that installation causes problems. Good indicative on your part. You are on a good track.

There are some free alternatives to Adobe Reader that are more secure, less intrusive, and use less resources, Foxit Reader being one.

My advice to you, create a system image now.

    Also, create a restore point.

Then install all of the updates. If it goes bad again, first, try restoring from the restore point, using the system image if that doesn't work.
