Windows 7: BSOD. Nothing in Event Viewer.

Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit

I actually found the driver. I remembered my cousin had a XPS Dell laptop with nearly Identical hard ware, including port placement, and came with Vista Business 64-bit, so on a long shot I looked up the drivers for it and found what appears to be the right driver. I'll install in compatibility mode to be safe.

Maybe it's just me then, because every driver I have from Microsoft shows a 2006 date. Weird.

An example:

I installed the new drivers and things (the internet especially) seem a bit snappier. The SFC /SCANNOW verification test has gotten past where it BSODed before. So, things seem to be all good. Once that finishes, I'll give memtest86 a try.

Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit

I figured out what the problem was. I was playing around in the BIOS the other day. I wanted to see how the computer performed with different options selected. Two of the changes didn't mix very well resulting in the CPU and RAM not acting right. I realized this only after getting another BSOD and sfc /scannow finding irreparable errors. I used the tutorials on here to make a universal install disc, then cleared the HDD using the tutorial for optimizing it for reinstall. After installing, I then installed all the newest drivers I could find for my hardware, then ran the WEI. All my scores were much lower than normal. Then I realized my buffoonery. I reset the BIOS to the default settings and now my WEI scores are all higher than ever. I ran memtest86 for two passes and no errors, and I tried to run as many programs as possible to cause a BSOD and nothing happened, so I'm calling this one fixed. Thanks for the help. Its my fault I was in the situation in the first place but the two of you helped me get everything working the best it ever has.
